On the Oliemolensingel, we at Slot Bommelstein still live student life as it was once intended. Since 1990 we have been an active, enterprising and cozy student house in Enschede. Actively adopting and developing yourself are important pillars of student life. We contribute to various committees and boards that can be found in Enschede. But it should not be forgotten that we only got together for one reason and that is of course studying! Our building used to house a café including a brothel and we try to keep these traditions alive. The house has room for 11 male students and is fully equipped. For example, we have a spacious living room with kitchen (incl. dishwasher) and a bar, and a separate dining room where we dine together every evening. A spacious roof terrace, including barbecue and comfortable corner sofa, where we like to drink a beer and have a bite to eat in the sunny days! We also have: three bathrooms, a private library, a wine cellar and a spacious garage. Every year we go away together for a weekend, such as a sailing weekend, a city trip or a 'tour des parents'. We regularly have house drinks or get-togethers with another active student house and we plan a DIY weekend if necessary. Student life is more than studying. Be open to new things and develop yourself both inside and outside the lecture hall. Maybe an active student house is the first step towards all these beautiful stories for you.
